Klarna recently partnered with global beauty retailer, Sephora, to offer beauty shoppers flexible payment options when shopping online and in-store in Australia. To celebrate the partnership, Klarna and Sephora hosted a summer sun-care party at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, sharing exclusive offers, sun-care products and good vibes. In the 360º partnership, it wasn’t only Sydney-siders that enjoyed the good times, over the 10-day period Sephora customers were treated to Klarna exclusive offers in-store and online.
In Klarna’s latest beauty trend report, we found that 45%* of shoppers in the age group 25-34 will buy when there’s a promo, and 31%* wait to buy until key sales events. Because, who doesn’t love a good deal? And we made sure to give shoppers what they want.
The message is clear to retailers: If you want to attract new buyers to your brand or a category, offer a promotion at the right time in the right place. Sephora was hoping to entice their shoppers to try new suncare products and where better to test them out than at the beach on a hot summer’s day. Together with Klarna they tried something new. This was also an opportunity for Sephora to drive shoppers back to the stores. With restrictions easing, and lives going back to normal, it has also come at the perfect time for consumers and retailers to reconnect in person. Retailers have a new opportunity to welcome back consumers by surprising and delighting them with exciting promotions and sales.
