Expect the unexpected – that’s what Klarna, one of Europe’s leading payment providers continues to demonstrate with their most recent collaboration with brand new Jazz and electric festival We Out Here.

Klarna, the Pay later people who are known for transforming digital shopping experiences, are now transforming the lives of festival goes by unveiling a Smoooth Sanctuary at the newest festival to hit the UK this summer.

Visitors to We Out Here, which will be held in Cambridgeshire in August, will be transported away from traditional festival struggles with a Smoooth Sanctuary where they can kick back in a pink lakeside haven housing hammocks, deckchairs and yoga mats. In true Klarna style, the bank who let people shop from the comfort of their own home, will help festival goes unwind with massages and an exclusive DJ line-up

We Out Here is the first UK festival curated by legendary Gilles Peterson, along with his label Brownswood and online radio station Worldwide FM. It will take place at the much-loved Abbots Ripton site, former home of Secret Garden Party. Boasting 10 stages and a mouth-watering line-up of contemporary jazz, afrobeats and world music bands, as well as club DJs, the festival prides itself on its diverse music offering and wealth of talent; old and new.

Gilles described the festival as; “An event that honours the pioneers, the visionaries, the spaces, faces, basements and dance floors that have helped craft the amazing world music in which we live.”

Discussing the collaboration, Luke Griffiths, General Manager at Klarna UK added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Gilles for We Out Here, the latest addition to the UK’s thriving music scene. At Klarna we like to remove the friction from everyday life and let people spend more time doing what they love. Our Smoooth Sanctuary, will let people relax listening to a great line-up of DJ’s and spend less time on the traditional festival struggles.”

About We Out Here

We Out Here is a new UK festival curated by internationally renowned broadcaster, DJ and label head Gilles Peterson, run in collaboration with Brownswood Recordings and Worldwide FM.

Spanning four days in August, We Out Here takes its name from the 2018 Brownswood compilation, a calling card for London’s bright-burning young jazz scene that went stratospheric last year. This same collaborative, creative spirit that defied genre classifications will be celebrated at We Out Here, pulling together Gilles’ vast and varied universe of talent inside one of the UK’s most beautiful, landscaped festival sites.

We Out Here is a Worldwide Family Gathering that collectively speaks for a young generation of improvisers, genre-spanning DJs and era-defining icons. A four-day experience inside the mind of Gilles Peterson and the music he has soaked up over the last 30 years in the game.

Festival dates:

Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th August 2019

Abbots Ripton, Cambridgeshire
