What happens if my purchase is for a different amount than my One-time card?

In case of a higher purchase amount
If your order is for a value higher than what was requested your One-time card will be rejected by the merchant for insufficient funds.

We recommend cancelling the One-time card with the incorrect value before creating a new one. This way your credit limit will not be impacted by this card.

Good to know: Please be aware that there might be an authorisation hold placed on your payment card for each One-time card you create. This ensures that enough funds are available on your credit or debit card to cover the instilment for your repayment plan. Once you delete the One-time card, we remove any holds placed on your card immediately. Depending on your financial institution, it might take between 1 to 7 days.

In case of a lower purchase amount
No worries – you’ll only be charged for what you end up using. Your payment plan will be automatically updated 14 days after purchase to reflect the true amount spent before your next instalment is charged.

If you spend less than the value of your One-time card, you can choose to “Refund unused amount” in your app at any time. This will update your payment plan right away.

Good to know: If you have already paid more than what you used, we will issue you a refund.
