Winter is coming. UK shoppers are getting ready by adding warmer clothes and boots to their wish lists in the Klarna app. Here are some of the retailers and items that are most popular in our newly launched social shopping service.

Klarna’s app was recently upgraded with several new features to enhance the shopping experience for UK consumers. For example, wish lists and price drop notifications, which allows shoppers to save the items they love and receive alerts for when the products they’re interested in drop in price.

Launching the new social shopping features has proven to be a success. September was a record month for the Klarna app with more than 1,6 million active users in the UK.

A lot of attention has been drawn to the wish list feature, which allows users to save products from any UK retailer that they like to shop with in the future. Looking at what shoppers are most interested in, based on what they are adding to their wish lists gives insight into what they are planning to get their hands on.

It’s clear that the upcoming winter season is influencing what shoppers have on their minds. Some of the top wishlisted items in September are winter coats, Dr. Marten boots and warm trousers. All in the spirit of keeping ourselves dry and warm when we’re outside. But winter is also about getting cozy at home, which we have seen reflected in wish lists of luxury beauty products, sleeping masks, and electric aroma diffusers.

Through wish lists, we can also see which retailers are most frequently among the items our shoppers are eying on. At the moment, fashion and beauty brands are dominating the lists, with the top retailers coming in as JD Sports, H&M, PrettyLittleThing, Boohoo, ASOS, Shein, Beauty Bay, and Cult Beauty.

To further showcase the new wish list feature, Klarna has created a series of curated wish lists celebrating diversity in style – including a collaboration with celebrity designer, TV personality and stylist Tan France. Here, Tan France is sharing his own style choices and personal wish list which is fully shoppable by app users.
