At Klarna, our products and services are designed to give people more choice, flexibility and control over how they shop and pay. As part of this, we regularly send our customers newsletters about what you’ve told us you want to know, whether that’s new retailers you might be interested in, new services or product features at Klarna, or the latest campaigns we are working on.

On the 12th of January, Klarna’s weekly newsletter included a message profiling new retailers who are partnering with Klarna. Whilst the communication had the best of intentions to help people discover new retailers, we are aware that the tone of the message may have missed the mark on this occasion.

Promoting responsible shopping, spending and financial wellbeing is something we take extremely seriously. We have taken on board the feedback on this particular newsletter content, with updates to our internal guidelines and training, to ensure we continue to operate to the highest standards.
