Following our recent identification that some customers were being charged for our Instalments product, we wanted to update you on the changes we’ve implemented.
At Klarna, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. We have therefore suspended any provider who is charging for using our fee free Instalments product.
What does this mean for you?
We’ve disabled anyone purchasing using our Instalments product at checkout from completing their purchase using a Tesco Bank credit card. This will apply across all Klarna merchants from today.
My instalments payments are registered with a Tesco Bank credit card, what happens now?
If you have already registered your Instalments product with a Tesco Bank credit card we strongly advise you to change the payment method to ensure you do not receive any unwanted additional charges. To change the card associated with your account, login to the Klarna App or access your account on our website. If you do not wish to change the card, you do not have to, payments will still be taken on Day 30 and Day 60 as previously agreed.
I’ve been charged a fee, what can I do?
We encourage any shopper who may have been charged a fee by their bank to get in touch with the provider and raise a dispute.
