We’ve recently collaborated with The Sunday Times Style Beauty Awards, aka a beauty shoppers bible to the best beauty buys on the market right now.

The awards recognise innovative brands and breakout products, and this year we’ve introduced our very own category – the Klarna Beauty Industry Disruptor Award.

We are delighted to announce that out of a stellar line-up, Lush is the winner of the 2021 Klarna Beauty Disruptor Award! Not only this, but Lush also won the ‘Champion of Sustainability’ category!

Lush

This is how Lush are changing the game…

A beauty brand that stands firmly behind it’s values.

Have you ever noticed the smell of mingling oils walking past one of Lush’s 900 stores worldwide? That’s because Lush are strong environmental advocates and hence do not use packaging unless necessary, leaving their products “naked” on store shelves.

Sustainability and responsible business is at the heart of the Lush brand, not just for consumers but in their business decisions whether it’s making cruelty-free beauty products, or choosing a server that runs on clean energy.

An on-going journey of digital excellence.

The technology team at Lush are pretty impressive. Constantly innovating and building solutions, here are some things they have been up to:

  1. Development of subscription and gift boxes, which thanks to 3D technology customers can personalise and design to reflect their style.
  2. The Lush Tokyo flagship store is the first Lush Labs store with zero packaging, and offers a digital shoppable window where shoppers can scan products on display using the Lens feature on the retailer’s app to buy curated collections and new product drops.
  3. The Lush Labs App offers customers augmented reality experiences and personal shopping services throughout the pandemic.
  4. A bespoke till to speed up in-store transactions.

Klarna loves beauty!

Working with leading beauty brands (including Lush, Space NK, Beauty Bay, Fragrance Direct, Cult Beauty and Aesop), we are committed to supporting beauty merchants striving for success in a competitive sector, and our sponsorship of the Sunday Times Style Beauty Awards are an important moment to celebrate game-changing brands and innovative products during the most challenging of years.
