How long do refunds take?

Your refund is credited to the original payment method after 14 days if you did not opt in to either enable Klarna balance refunds or select another payment method.

Where can I find or view my refund?

Your refund is either credited to your Klarna balance or to the original payment method depending on your settings. If you have an open Klarna balance, your refunds will automatically be sent there.

If you don't have a Klarna balance, you'll have received a notification in the app, and an email, to prompt you to either activate Klarna balance or choose to be refunded to another payment method.

To check if you have enabled Klarna balance refunds:

  1. Go to Payments

  2. Navigate to Payment preferences

  3. Tap Send to Klarna balance to toggle on/off

  • You can log in to check the store has received your return or cancelled your order.

  • According to most store’s T&Cs express shipping fees are not refundable.

Still haven’t received your refund after 14 days?

Did you recently change banks or close your linked bank account? Have you cancelled, temporarily frozen, blocked or changed your connected card?

  • If so, log in to let us know - your refund may have bounced back to Klarna, causing the delay.

  • Be sure to check the store has received your return or cancelled your order.

Did you return or cancel part of your order?

In this case, we will issue a partial refund:

  • If the partial refund is less than the remaining balance of your order, the amount still owed will be spread evenly across the remaining payments.

  • If the partial refund is greater than the remaining balance of your order, the difference will be credited to the original payment method.

Financing

  • If the total amount owed is greater than the refund, the refund will be deducted from the total balance of your financing loan.

  • If the total amount owed is less than the refund, the refund will be repaid to your connected direct debit mandate.
