Behind the scenes with Hypebeast.

This February, we’ve partnered with fashion activist Bea Åkerlund to give tradition the finger; with a limited edition ring collection available exclusively at Hypebeast.

The handcrafted Knight Finger is a symbol for breaking rules and looking past old traditions to get who, or what you love! And the more subtle Unification ring demonstrates an elegant, genderless design.

As Bea says: “These rings were designed to inspire us all to fearlessly love on our own terms and cast aside traditions of the past to define our own futures. It’s an honor to fight for someone you love. B the knight in shining armor.”

Earlier this week, Klarna US and Hypebeast (what a killer combo!) joined creative forces to shoot a lookbook for the rings in New York City. Let’s take a look behind the scenes . . .

Glam squad, assemble. In front of the camera we had models Abdou Faal and Layla Sharifi, serving us pure ‘get what you love’ vibes.

And behind the lens, the Hypebeast photography crew capturing the smooothest shots – even when faced with a smoking light fixture!

Textures were huge on this shoot. Helping the jewels stand out with smoooth silks and quilted cotton, statement chiffon and – of course – a Klarna pink knit

Things got a little acrobatic! Using different levels to capture a close connection between our models; and catch the all important rings under different lights, against different textures and in interesting poses.

And that’s a wrap! Want to get your hands on the limited edition Knight Finger and Unification rings? Join the waitlist over on HBX now.
