Tell us a little bit about Bold – what do you do?
The Bold Checkout Suite is a set of microservices-based, platform-agnostic, API-first checkout solutions. We typically work with established enterprise retail brands with $50M+ in online gross merchandise value (GMV) with multiple channels and a well-defined digital strategy. We work with leading omnichannel retailers such as, Vera Bradley, Harry Rosen, Staples Canada, and emerging DTC brands such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Game Fuel, and Mars Petcare, to reimagine commerce.
Why did you partner with Klarna to bring flexible payment solutions to your users?
We’re thrilled to have a direct integration with Klarna, enabling brands to quickly and easily implement Klarna’s flexible payment solution. With Klarna, Bold has a more robust payment offering, so brands can easily and quickly provide their customers with multiple payment options, helping to increase customer satisfaction and conversion.
Brands leverage Bold’s headless APIs to create unique transaction experiences anywhere, including emerging channels like IoT, voice, and kiosks. This integration is across multiple platforms so brands can bring Klarna into their payment offering for their customers, regardless of commerce platform and on any touchpoint.
What essential factors should a retailer consider when looking for a payments partner? How does Bold stand out with those factors?
Maximizing conversion rates is the most crucial starting point. Shoppers like having different ways to pay—they appreciate having choices. Retailers can make the checkout experience easier by offering those choices, turning clicks into conversions faster.
