Today, we’re excited to launch Playing For Keeps, a first-of-its-kind livestream event series featuring streaming stars SypherPK and Kitty Plays along with musicians and celeb gamers Snoop Dogg and Lil Yachty. Playing For Keeps will give at-home players the opportunity to take on gaming pros SypherPK and Kitty Plays and win their gaming gear right out from under them – live on Twitch.
Across two livestream events on October 27 and 29, challengers can take on the pros at the games they know best – Fortnite and Fall Guys – and watch them give up their gaming rigs piece-by-piece with every game lost. Snoop Dogg and Lil Yachty will be joining the fun, dropping into the livestream events as very unexpected in-game assists for players chasing the ultimate gaming rig. Klarna’s flexible, interest-free payment options and feature-filled app already helps gamers level up their gear without maxing out their budget. With our latest campaign, Klarna is now helping players hack the system to get new gear and take on some of the industry’s biggest names.
We worked with SypherPK and KittyPlays to design their ultimate gaming setup, and worked with our network of tech, gaming, apparel and sport retail partners, who offer Klarna’s flexible payment options, including Gamestop, JD Sport and Finish Line to bring it to life.
Every item in the SypherPK and Kitty Play’s streaming setup is up for grabs during the Playing For Keeps events. Challengers can win, and immediately remove from their setups, pro-level gear, including a GT Omega Pro Series gaming chair, JBL Quantum headset, Bose Smart Soundbar 300, Lenovo Legion Tower 5i Gaming Computer – and even the kicks on Kitty’s feet.
And it’s not just the players who can get involved. During the stream, viewers will be able to support the contestants and introduce obstacles into the pros’ environment that level the playing field. Players and viewers alike are in for plenty of surprises with Klarna dropping exclusive promo codes, shoppable gaming wish lists and more into the stream.
