Does Klarna read all my emails?

No, we have two steps to decide if an email is relevant or not.

  1. We look for keywords, this check is done for us by Google or Microsoft and only emails containing the keywords will continue to the second step.
  2. We check if the sender of the email has been identified as an online store, only then will Klarna process the contents of that email. We have a list containing the domain names of thousands of online stores and compare the name of the sender in your inbox to this list. Email contents from senders that are not on the list will not be scanned or processed by Klarna, because we care about your privacy and don’t want to risk handling unnecessary data.
