Is someone at Klarna reading my emails to find tracking numbers and order information?
No, we have two steps to decide if an email is relevant or not. First we look for keywords, this check is done for us by Google, and only emails containing the keywords will continue to the second step. In the second step we check if the sender of the email has been identified as an online store, only then will Klarna process the contents of that email. We have a list containing the domain names of thousands of online stores and compare the name of the sender in your inbox to this list. Email contents from senders that are not on the list will not be scanned or processed by Klarna, because we care about your privacy and don’t want to risk handling any personal or sensitive data.
