What order types are available?

You can place two types of orders:

Market order: Buys or sells your securities at the best available price during the current trading day, 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. ET. If the order isn't filled during the trading day, it's canceled.

Limit order: An instruction to buy or sell shares only at a specific price or better, so you don't pay more when buying or receive less when selling than intended.
