Prequalification is store-specific, it estimates what may be available for a purchase at a specific store and for the payment options offered. It is an estimate, not guarantees, and the final decision is still made when the purchase is assessed at checkout.

You can make up to 3 prequalification attempts at each store within 48 hours.

Klarna evaluates your ability to pay by assessing available data to ensure responsible lending.

When a credit check is performed, we verify your identity using the details you provided and we look at information from your credit report to understand your financial behavior and evaluate your creditworthiness.

We will not perform a credit check when:

• Signing up to use Klarna

• Downloading the app

We will perform a soft credit check when you:

• Use Pay in 4

• Use Pay in 30 days

• Use Pay over time

• Apply for a Klarna Credit Card

Soft credit checks do not affect your credit score and will not be visible to other lenders.

Good to know:

• If you make late payments or fail to pay, this could have a negative impact on your creditworthiness and prevent you from using our payment methods.

• Using the prequalification feature will not affect your credit score in any way, whatever the outcome.

Our third party credit checks are performed by Transunion. If you have questions regarding their services, your credit score, or the data provided as part of a credit check we advise you to reach out to them directly.

Yes, the Klarna app is completely free to download and use.

Yes, Klarna uses security measures to protect your personal and payment information. Payments are processed securely.

Returns are handled directly through the store. Once the return is processed by Adidas, Klarna will adjust your payment plan accordingly. This may include updating upcoming payments or issuing a refund if you’ve already paid. You’ll be notified by Klarna once the adjustment has been made.
