How do I log in?

To log in to your Klarna account

  1. Open the Klarna app or go to

  2. Enter the email address or phone number associated with your Klarna purchases

  3. Tap Confirm and Continue

  4. You will receive an email with a login link or a text with a 6-digit verification code

  5. Open the login link on the same device or insert the code into the app to log in

Good to know: The first time you log in to your Klarna account you will be required to verify both your email and phone number. Then you can choose your preferred login method.

Enable passkey as a sign-in method for Klarna

A passkey is a way to open the Klarna app using your device’s biometric features, such as Face ID, Touch ID or face and fingerprint unlock - without the need for an SMS code.

  1. Navigate to Settings in the

  2. Tap Security and privacy and select Manage in the Passkeys menu

  3. Select Add passkey and follow the instructions

To remove a passkey from your Klarna account:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the app

  2. Tap Security and privacy and select Manage in the Passkeys menu

  3. Select Remove passkey by tapping on the bin icon to the right, and follow the instructions

Good to know

  • You can create passkeys on multiple devices and they will sync automatically. 

  • If your passkey isn’t working:

    • Try unlocking with your face, fingerprint, or screen lock

    • Check that your device is updated

    • Still stuck? You can remove the passkey and set it up again in Klarna settings

  • Your biometric data (such as your face or fingerprint) stays on your device and is never shared with Klarna.
