Most of Klarna's revenue comes from fees that stores pay to offer Klarna at checkout. They choose Klarna because it helps more people complete their purchases smoothly and feel confident while shopping.
Klarna earns a smaller amount from interest on our financing products and from late fees when payments are missed. These late fees are clear, limited, and often avoided completely. Klarna also provides reminders and flexible payment options to help people stay in control of their spending.
To be eligible to use Klarna you must:
Be a resident of Australia
Be at least 18
Have a valid card/bank account
Be able to receive verification codes via text
If we are unable to collect the payment on the scheduled date, we will try again. If that payment attempt also fails, the missed payment will be added to the amount of the next scheduled payment.
Please note, missed payments may incur fees and unpaid debts may be sent to debt collection.
