How do the different Klarna Card payment methods work?
By default, your Klarna Card is always set to debit mode. You'll need to set up a plan each time you want to Pay later.
Pay in full (debit): Add money to your personal account so future purchases are paid instantly from that balance - just like a regular debit card.
Pay later: First apply for a Pay later plan in the app. Your plan can be funded either from your personal account or from your connected payment card, and the cost is split into installments.
Good to know:
Your approved Pay later plan will only apply to your next purchase.
To create a Pay in 3 / Pay in 4 / Pay Later plan you will need to sign up to a paid Klarna membership (Klarna Everywhere or higher). If you choose to upgrade your membership, the extra benefits and subscription fee will be shown clearly during sign up.
