Flexible ways to pay

Klarna is a flexible payment service that offers ways to shop now and pay later. Simply select Klarna at checkout when it’s available and we’ll quickly verify your details to complete the order. You can track and manage all payments in the Klarna app, with reminders to help you stay on schedule.

To be eligible to use Klarna you must:

• Be a resident of Switzerland

• Be at least 18

• Have a valid bank card/bank account

• Have a positive credit history

• Be able to receive verification codes via text

Flexible payments allow customers to select the method and timing of their payments for purchases. They include options like "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL), enabling you to buy items immediately and pay in interest-free installments or to pay off the balance in 30 days. Services such as Klarna facilitate these flexible payments, allowing the option to either make manageable smaller payments or to pay the full amount upfront, depending on your convenience and budget.

Pay in full, Pay in 30 days, and Pay in 3 options are interest-free. There are no late fees when you pay on time. If you miss a payment, late fees may apply. Check the terms of your payment plan to understand what costs you could incur for missing a payment.

In some cases, you may be able to reschedule your payment. This can be done through the Klarna app or by contacting Klarna customer support. Options may depend on your payment plan and account status.

You can use Klarna's buy now, pay later options anywhere you shop. Choose Klarna at checkout when it's available, or pay with Klarna using the Klarna app. Availability and eligibility may vary depending on the purchase.

You can view your payment schedule anytime through the Klarna app or website. Your account shows upcoming payments, due dates, and amounts, so you can stay on top of your payments.

When a credit check is performed, we verify your identity using the details you provided and we look at information from your credit report to understand your financial behaviour and evaluate your creditworthiness.

Depending on the payment method or service you choose, we may or may not perform searches to check your financial standing. You can find an overview of the credit checks we run for our payment options and services below.

We will not perform a credit check on you when:

• Signing up to use Klarna.

• Downloading the Klarna App.

• Choosing to Pay in full.

We will perform a credit check that might impact your credit score, when:

• Deciding to ‘Pay in 30 days’.

Our third party credit lookups are retrieved from Crif. If you have any questions regarding the services those parties offer, we advise you to reach out to them directly.

These checks are performed in accordance with Klarna’s Terms & Conditions.

• You can remove your linked bank account or card at any time
