March 27th 2018 – Today Klarna and MyOnlineStore announced a partnership that will enable retailers to deploy Klarna’s online checkout and payment service together with MyOnlineStore’s ecommerce platform. From order management to customer service – and now payments – everything is managed via MyOnlineStore, with one contact and one contract. MyOnlineStore’s 42,000 SME retailers in the Netherlands can now easily accommodate transactions taking place via mobile. Also, they can maximise checkout conversion rates and facilitate all types of card and iDeal transactions with the added benefit of Klarna’s pay after delivery service – Pay Later. For new MyOnlineStore customers the Klarna Checkout will be their standard payment solution. As this is an automated integration, retailers will have their online shop up and running in no time.
The partnership between Klarna and MyOnlineStore comes at a time when the ecommerce market is growing rapidly. In The Netherlands, both the number of online shops and the sales figures have been going through the roof recently. Klarna also benefits from this growing market: last year the company grew by 73 percent in volume and 97 percent in number of transactions. Additionally, a rapidly growing number of consumers are shopping via their smartphones. 66 percent of the visitors of MyOnlineStore-stores shop and pay with their mobile phones. The Klarna checkout is designed with this type of consumer in mind. Klarna takes a mobile first approach with an online checkout that is perfect for mobile payments. Because the majority of customers can complete their mobile payments more easily, online shops achieve better sales.
Up and running quickly
Time-saving is a clear benefit for merchants of the Klarna and MyOnlineStore partnership. Merchants no longer have to spend time and effort on multiple contracts with individual payment providers.
