Klarna inks deal with ASOS in Australia.

Aussies can now shop online with ASOS and pay for their goods in four instalments as Klarna has announced that its partnership with the global fashion retailer has expanded Down Under.

With 23.0 million active customers worldwide, ASOS partners with Klarna in eight key markets, including the UK (since 2016) and the US (2019). As the first major international brand in Australia to offer Klarna’s smart online checkout system on its own website, ASOS joins a rapidly increasing list of local integrated merchants for the global payments provider.

ASOS customers can shop a curated edit of 85,000 products from 850 brands including in-house labels ASOS DESIGN, ASOS EDITION, ASOS 4505 and COLLUSION. Now, whether shopping for winter wardrobe staples, the latest trainers, or beauty products, ASOS customers will have even greater flexibility.

How does it work?

  • With Pay in 4, ASOS shoppers will be able to spread the cost of their purchases over six weeks and four equal fortnightly instalments
  • Customers are also able to manage all their purchases, repayments and any returns through Klarna’s app.
  • No interest is charged and no fees apply for payments made on time.

The Klarna-ASOS partnership has also involved broader collaboration, with The Inspired Unemployed’s fishing outfits in Klarna’s Get What I Love music video supplied by ASOS. The official video has already been viewed over 30,000 times on YouTube and the campaign content more than 21 million times across social and online.
