You can earn cashback by shopping at participating stores in the Klarna app. With a membership, you earn on all purchases paid with Klarna. Everyone can earn cashback. Here is how to get cashback:

• Shop in the app: Pay with Klarna at participating stores inside the Klarna app to earn cashback, whether you're a member or not.

• Become a member: Earn additional cashback on every eligible purchase: in the app, and any time you pay with your Klarna card anywhere Visa is accepted, online or in stores. Your exact rate depends on your membership tier.

Yes. You can earn up to 50,000 cashback points per month. This cap applies to cashback earned from purchases. Cashback from referrals, sign-up bonuses, and other rewards doesn't count toward the cap. For members, the cap resets on your membership renewal date. Once you reach the cap, new eligible purchases won't earn cashback until the cap resets.

Yes, you have to pay with Klarna to earn cashback.

Yes. You can combine Klarna-provided deals with cashback to save even more on your purchases.

Yes. Cashback operates independently from existing loyalty programs so you can earn both loyalty points and cashback on the same purchase.

As a member, you earn cashback on eligible purchases using any Klarna payment method. Pay Now using a third-party card is not eligible for membership cashback. Learn more about Klarna membership.

Member cashback becomes available on your Klarna Rewards Day, within 30 days of each completed payment, timed to your monthly membership renewal.

Cashback release depends on a successful renewal. If a renewal payment fails, your cashback is held for up to 3 days. If your membership isn't renewed within that window, the held cashback is forfeited.

Without a Klarna membership, cashback becomes available within 90 days.

Yes, some purchases are excluded from cashback. Some examples are: Bill payments, cash withdrawals, money transfers, crypto and other financial products, gambling transactions, other fees and fines, etc.

How long your cashback lasts depends on your membership:

• Standard: expires 6 months after it's transferred to your cashback balance.

• Everywhere and Plus: expires 12 months after it's transferred to your cashback balance.

• Premium and Max: never expires while your membership stays active.

If you upgrade, your existing cashback's expiry automatically updates to match your new tier's rule. If you downgrade, expiry is recalculated from the end of your current membership period. Expired cashback can't be recovered.
