Turn on Klarna in Shopify Payments

Already on Shopify? Activate directly from your Shopify admin in minutes and start offering flexible payment options to your customers. Shopify Payments with Klarna is currently available in the EU, UK, and Asia-Pacific. US availability is expected in Q2 2026.

Confirm your payment provider

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Payments and confirm that Shopify Payments is your payment provider. If you haven't activated it yet, follow the prompts to set it up.

Enable Klarna

In Settings → Payments → Shopify Payments, find Klarna under alternative payment methods and turn it on. Make sure your business details (name, logo, contact) are up to date before activating.

Start selling

Klarna will appear at checkout for eligible customers. Payouts are included in your regular Shopify payouts.

If you don’t have Stripe yet, open a Stripe account. Klarna can be added automatically for new accounts.
