Why was my Financing payment not debited automatically?

There could be different reasons why your Financing payment was not automatically withdrawn:

There is no active direct debit mandate
Without an active direct debit mandate, Klarna does not have the authorisation to automatically debit your bank account. Ensure you have connected an active direct debit mandate to your bank account.

  1. Go to Payment methods
  2. Tap Connect a bank account
  3. Enter your bank details and complete the steps to link your direct debit mandate

Autopay is not enabled
You need to also enable autopay to automate payments after setting up a direct debit mandate, as Klarna’s automatic payment is based on two-factor authentication. Tap the toggle Autopay on also located under Payment Methods.

You’ve reported a problem
If you’ve reported a problem for your order the payment is automatically paused and no longer due until the investigation is closed.

You’ve made a manual payment
If you’ve made a manual payment that is either equal to, or more than, the interest-saver amount, or minimum amount, against your monthly statement, the automatic payment is not triggered.

Your account has been adjusted
If a complaint has been raised on your behalf, which resulted in an account balance adjustment against your account, the automatic payment may not have been debited.
