Does Klarna report to credit bureaus?

Does Klarna report to credit bureaus?

Yes, Klarna shares information about loans and your repayment activity for the Monthly Pay over time product.

Data, such as if you pay on time, or make late payments or fail to pay, is shared with credit bureaus - TransUnion and Experian.

We will share information with the credit bureaus when you:

  • Open a new Pay over time loan
  • Make on-time Pay over time payments
  • If you pay late or default on your Pay over time loan

We don’t share information with credit bureaus about your:

  • Pay in full purchases
  • Pay in 4 payments
  • Pay in 30 payments
  • Klarna Card activity

Does sharing information about Pay over time with credit bureaus affect my credit score?

For now, the shared data will not impact your score as it is only visible to you. Other institutions currently are not able to view the payment history on your Pay over time loans through Klarna.

Good to know:

  • Our Pay over time product is issued by WebBank in partnership with Klarna.
  • Read our Terms & Conditions for more detailed information about Pay over time and (APR) the Annual Percentage Rate.
