Refunds go straight to your balance, and with a membership, you can earn interest (rates vary by plan). You can also convert cashback from in-app shopping directly into your balance.

You can earn cashback on your purchases when you shop at participating stores in the Klarna app. Once your cashback is confirmed, it is deposited into your Klarna balance. Make sure to activate your balance, so that any accumulated cashback can be redeemed.

Yes, you can use your balance to settle any Klarna payments early in the app as long as you have enough money in your balance. You can add money with your other debit card if you have purchase power with Klarna and are eligible to spend with us.³

2. Select Klarna balance

3. Tap Add money and follow the prompts to transfer funds from a US debit card in your name

When a payment is made, Klarna automatically updates your available purchase power. Keeping open invoices to a minimum is crucial. When you use Klarna balance, you're paying off your invoices faster, which allows for a quicker adjustment of your purchase power.³

Purchase power is an estimate of your available spending amount with Klarna. However, it's not a guaranteed amount, but a useful guide to manage your spending.

You can use your Klarna balance to pay for any existing Klarna orders or services:

1. Go to Payments

2. Choose your Pay in 4 or Pay over time purchase

3. Tap Pay early and select Klarna balance as your funding source

You have the option to have all your refunds, regardless of the Klarna payment method chosen, credited earlier to your Klarna balance - avoiding lengthy banking processing times. The refunds will be available in your Klarna balance immediately after it has been processed by the merchant. To manage this feature:

2. Navigate to Settings
3. Tap Manage and toggle on Faster refunds
